1. Choose the height
Beside the bed
Choose a lamp about 1 to 1.5 times the height of the nightstand. Sitting up in bed, the bottom of the shade should be around chin height, roughly 42 in above the floor.

Living room
Most side-table lamps are 28โ32 in tall. Keep the lamp no taller than 1.5 times the table, and check that the bottom of the shade sits near your eye level when seated. Together, table and lamp often come to about 58โ64 in.
2. Check the proportions
Shade and table
The shade usually takes about a third of the lampโs height, and it should be narrower than the table so the lamp doesnโt overhang it.
What to measure
- Table or nightstand: height and width, in inches
- Mattress top: height from the floor
- Seat: height of the sofa or chair seat

Whatโs included
Each add-on includes one dimmable bulb, shipped in the same package as your light. The remote bulb comes with its own remote. If your fixture normally comes with a standard bulb, weโll send the dimmable one instead; the standard bulb wonโt be included.
Remote batteries are included with standard shipping. Orders shipped by air canโt include batteries.

Compatibility
Recommended for single-bulb fixtures up to 30โณ in diameter. Larger fixtures may need more light. Not suitable for fixtures with built-in LEDs. For chandeliers or multi-bulb lights, please check with us first.
More than one light?
Each remote controls one bulb, so every remote bulb comes with its own remote. Ordering several lights? Leave a note at checkout telling us which ones need a bulb.

Available only with a compatible light fixture. Orders for the bulb alone may need to be adjusted or canceled.
