1. Choose the size

Width for the room

Add the room’s length and width in feet. The total is a good starting chandelier width in inches.

Width over a dining table

Choose a chandelier about 1/2 to 2/3 the width of your table, and at least 12 in narrower than the table. For a round table, use its diameter.

Two-story foyer

Keep at least 7 ft below the chandelier. Seen from the upstairs landing, it should sit around eye level or a little lower. If you can, leave about 4 ft between the chandelier and the walls.

2. Check the hanging height

Drop means the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the chandelier, including its chain or rod.

Where people walk underneath, keep at least 7 ft (84 in) from the floor to the lowest point.

Over a table or island

Adds Style and Light to Any Room

This is a beautiful pendant light. The integrated LED provides smooth, even illumination with virtually no dark spots. This is my first time buying a fixture with a built-in light source, so I’m hoping it lasts for many years.

Easy to Install

This light fixture is beautiful and was easy to install. It comes with two downrods that can be used separately or connected together, making it easy to adjust the hanging height for different rooms. It looks amazing and fits our décor perfectly!

Love the look of this light. It fit the space well, I put it above the front door. Well packaged which is a plus for me. Finish is great and most of the parts are well made. Install was average, nothing super complicated. Oh well, it’s up and looks good!

Nice fixture, quality is concomitant w/ price

This hanging lamp is quite nice but the build quality is not top notch. Of course, it is not priced as such so for the price I think it is good. It is not huge, so keep that in mind. Hanging it was not that hard.

Beautiful Fixture, but Read the Details Carefully

This chandelier has a beautiful, timeless look, and the black finish matches our kitchen hardware perfectly. I was surprised by how long the included downrod was and had to shorten it by more than half for our 10-foot dining-area ceiling, so it should work well with high or vaulted ceilings too. Installation was fairly simple and straightforward. My only disappointment was that I assumed the shades were alabaster and thought I was getting an unbelievable deal, but they aren’t. The listing clearly states that the materials are resin and metal, so be sure to read the product details carefully before ordering—don’t make the same silly mistake I did!
