Hardwired · Standard
Connects to your ceiling wiring and turns on and off with a standard wall switch (not included). Have a licensed electrician make the connection and mount the fixture.
The 118" cord is shortened to your hanging height during installation. Need it longer? Contact us before ordering.
Plug-in · Optional add-on
No electrical wiring needed. The cord has a built-in bulb socket: fit it into the shade with the included guide, hang the light, and plug it into a wall outlet. It's a 16.4 ft (5 m) cord with an inline on/off switch.
About 47" runs from the plug to the switch and 145" from the switch to the light. Three mounting hooks are included for hanging the light and routing the cord.
Choose a cord color and plug type (US, EU, UK or AU) when you add it to your order. Plug-in orders ship without the hardwired parts. Want them too? Add a checkout note. Details are in the Plug-In Cord Add-On section.
Check the hanging space
- Shortest hardwired drop: the shade height plus about 5" (a 1" canopy and at least 4" of cord). Compare sizes lists it for each size.
- Over a table or island: start with 30–36" between the surface and the bottom of the shade.
- Where people walk underneath: keep at least 7 ft from the floor to the bottom of the shade.
- Ceiling type: suitable for flat, vaulted or sloped ceilings.
Mounting hardware is included. Your electrician may add anchors suited to your ceiling.
For dry indoor spaces. Handle the paper shade gently. If parts are missing or damaged, or the socket feels loose, stop and contact us before installing or using the light.
