Akari Spherical Pendant Light - Installation options

Hardwired · Standard

Connects to ceiling wiring. Have a qualified installer make the electrical connection and secure the fixture.

The standard 118" cord can be shortened during installation. Contact us before ordering if you need a longer cord.

Plug-in · Optional add-on

Uses a wall outlet with a separate 16.4 ft (5 m) cord and inline on/off switch. Choose the cord color and US plug when adding it to the same order.

The cord arrives unattached and needs to be connected by a qualified installer. The pendant still needs secure overhead support and a clear cord route. Hardwired parts are not included with this add-on unless requested before shipment.

Check the hanging space

For the shortest standard hardwired drop, add 4.94" (12.54 cm) to the shade height: a 1" canopy plus at least 10 cm of exposed cord. This applies to all 11 sizes.

Above a table or island, start with 30–36" between the surface and the bottom of the shade. Use Compare sizes to check proportions and clearance. Open walkways need a separate clearance check by your installer.

For dry indoor spaces. Handle the paper shade gently; do not force the support frame. If parts are missing or damaged, or the socket feels loose, stop and contact us before installation or use.
